Casa Teo, located at CC Monver Albir on Av de l'Albir in El Albir, Alicante, is a Spanish bar and eatery that captures the essence of traditional Spanish dining. The establishment features a modern yet rustic decor, with elements inspired by wine barrels and a vibrant, well-stocked bar. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a welcoming spot for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic culinary experience.
The menu showcases a variety of quality dishes, including an impressive selection of cured meats and hams, which are displayed and available for purchase. Guests can choose their preferred style of ham, and the expert staff will carve it by hand, serving it directly to the table. Paella is a highlight, with multiple options available, and many diners have noted its exceptional preparation. The service is generally efficient, with minimal waiting times for food and drinks, and staff are described as friendly and attentive. A complimentary light tapas dish often accompanies drinks, enhancing the overall value of the visit.
While most experiences are positive, some reviews indicate occasional challenges with service during busy times, particularly regarding seating and attention from staff. Despite this, the quality of the food, including standout dishes like grilled vegetables and various paella options, tends to outweigh these minor drawbacks. Casa Teo is an appealing choice for those looking to enjoy a traditional Spanish meal in a pleasant setting, where the combination of good food and a warm atmosphere creates a satisfying dining experience.
For now, I'm giving it a 3 because they haven't responded to my messages on Instagram. If they have that option available, they should use it; otherwise, just disable it. In the end, I called to make a reservation! I came and I'm raising my rating to a 5 because of the delicious dinner.

We started with the ham croquettes and broken eggs, which I highly recommend. For the main course, we ordered a paella for three and a sliced entrecôte served on a hot stone. They bring the stone with a gas burner to keep it warm, and it was absolutely amazing. I’m giving it four stars because as soon as we sat down, they brought us bread with alioli, which was really good, but they served it without us asking and charged us €1.20 per person. It’s not a lot, but I don’t like places that serve you something without asking and then charge for it, so that’s why I gave it four stars.

I am happy to say the service from a very friendly, older, professional waiter was excellent on a very busy Sunday. Thanks to that gentleman. The food is very good. The paella mixta was lovely, but a little too much salt. I suggest you order it bajo en sal. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

We arrived at 10:30 PM hoping to taste some rice (since this place is a rice restaurant), but since we got there, no waiter looked at us. We stood at the door waiting to be seated (we like to ask and be shown which table or area of the terrace would be best), and since there were several free tables, we decided to sit down after 10 minutes of watching the waiters pass by us without even glancing our way. After sitting at the table we chose (since no waiter seemed willing to serve us), at 10:40 PM, the waiter who was clearly overwhelmed with work (the oldest man) passed by us collecting from two tables nearby, but unfortunately did not attend to us. It wasn't until 10:55 PM that we had to get up to call a waiter (I repeat, we arrived at 10:30 PM) when one of the waiters came to ask us what we wanted to drink. After telling him that we intended to order rice, he replied that he needed to check. Later, the person I assume was the owner came to tell us that at this hour they could not serve us rice because the kitchen closed at 11 PM (the establishment states it closes at midnight). Still, we decided to stay after half an hour of waiting just to be served. We ordered a magro with tomato and some broken eggs, the only downside being that they came with three hard-boiled eggs. The experience was not what I imagined. I can't comment on the rice, but the service and customer treatment were far from friendly. The only waiter who really seemed busy and still treated us well was the older man.

We ordered the pork secret rice with vegetables. There were too many vegetables for our taste, but it was very good. The restaurant was packed, we didn't have a reservation, and as soon as they could, they found us a table. The desserts are delicious. The service is very fast and attentive.

We are staying in the Albir area and researched around about local restaurants and Casa Teo was a few mins walk from our hotel. Was our first night here and we all really fancied paella and saw great reviews. 100% recommend to come here, definitely if you want the paella, there is a few options. It was cooked to perfection. The service was quick and at the end we all got a round of free shots which was great! Would 100% come back. Staff were also friendly.

Casa teo is a classic Spanish bar & eatery that offers quality food & drinks @ reasonable prices , the casa has an extensive wine list & also has a good selection of local & international spirits , plus draft beers & bottles of cider etc . The casa has a good selection of various cured meats & hams which are on display & they are available for purchase & you can select your style of ham or cured meat & it will be carved by hand by it's expert staff & served to your table . The vibe of the casa is modern / rustic & cosy & the decor features some barrel & wine inspired decor , plus a very colourful well stocked bar ! . The casa staff are polite & friendly & service is good with minimal waiting times for food & drinks . The casa does serve a light tapas dish with drinks & upon my visit it was included in the cost of my drinks , so it was a gift on the house ! , which was nice & very much appreciated , The casa has full waiter service , but you can order from the bar if you like ! , it's up to you & your choice & the price of drinks is the same on both options . The casa is not an overly commercial touristy type bar/restaurant but is a more traditional Spanish dining & drinks experience with a great atmosphere & the warmest of Spanish welcomes ! , very popular with locals & tourists alike . The casa teo is well worth a visit for the serious foodie & those who enjoy a more traditional Spanish drinks & dining experience in pleasant surroundings ! , upon my visit they really did bring the best to my table ! , I'm sure should you visit you may well say the same . Can only recommend .

Such a rude service, felt like they made us a favor by feeding us. My husband asked for medium steak, got rare.. then had to wait for ever to pay because they couldn't serve us. Food average and atmosphere is hostile especially if u are not spanish
