What TripSquick Provides
TripSquick is a free, multilingual travel information platform. We provide:
- Information about places, restaurants, trails, activities, accommodations, healthcare facilities, transport hubs, and local dishes across cities in Europe
- Interactive maps with entity locations and hiking trail routes
- AI-generated descriptions and translations in 8 languages
- Photos sourced from Google Places and Wikimedia Commons
- Trail data including GPX coordinates, elevation profiles, and difficulty ratings from OpenStreetMap and Waymarked Trails
TripSquick is an informational resource, not a booking platform. We do not process payments, sell products, or facilitate reservations.
Accuracy of Information
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all content. Specifically:
- Opening hours, prices, and contact details are sourced from Google Places and OpenStreetMap and may be outdated. Always verify directly with the establishment.
- Trail conditions — distances, elevation data, and difficulty ratings are computed from GPS data and may not reflect current trail conditions, closures, or hazards. Check local authorities before hiking.
- AI-generated descriptions are created by language models (OpenAI) based on reviews and public data. They may contain inaccuracies.
- Reviews are sourced from third-party platforms and reflect individual opinions, not those of TripSquick.
TripSquick is not responsible for decisions made based on information provided on the website.
User Conduct
TripSquick does not currently offer user accounts or user-generated content. You may browse all content freely without registration. You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content for commercial purposes without permission
- Attempt to interfere with the website's operation, security, or infrastructure
- Use automated tools to place excessive load on our servers
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us
Intellectual Property
Our content: AI-generated descriptions, website design, code, and branding are the property of TripSquick. You may share links to our pages but may not reproduce substantial portions of our content without permission.
Third-party content: Photos are sourced from Google Places (© respective photographers) and Wikimedia Commons (various open licenses). Map data is from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL license). Trail data is from Waymarked Trails and OpenStreetMap.
AI bots: We allow AI search and discovery bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, PerplexityBot) to access our content for search indexing and AI-powered recommendations. We block AI training crawlers (CCBot, Bytespider).
Limitation of Liability
TripSquick is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of the website
- We are not responsible for injuries, losses, or expenses resulting from reliance on trail information, directions, or recommendations
- We are not liable for the availability, accuracy, or safety of any third-party establishment listed on the website
- We are not responsible for content or practices of linked third-party websites
Third-Party Links and Services
TripSquick contains links to external websites (Google Maps, Wikipedia, establishment websites, booking platforms). We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable EU regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for privacy matters.
