L'Espill is situated along the picturesque Paseo del Mediterraneo in Altea, offering a delightful blend of coffee, tea, and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant boasts a prime location with stunning views of the beach, making it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors. The atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff, who contribute to a welcoming environment that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their meals.
The menu features a variety of seasonal dishes, with many patrons praising the quality of the ingredients. The daily menu, priced at around 23.90€ per person, includes options like salmorejo and seafood paella, both of which have received positive feedback for their flavor and presentation. Diners often mention the generous portions, particularly the paella, which is noted for its rich taste and perfect cooking. While some have pointed out that the pricing for drinks, such as cava, can be a bit steep, the overall value of the food and service tends to outweigh these concerns.
L'Espill is not just about the food; the experience is complemented by the beautiful seaside views that enhance every meal. Whether enjoying a leisurely lunch or a cozy dinner, the combination of delicious dishes and a stunning backdrop makes for a memorable outing. The restaurant's commitment to quality and service has led to many guests expressing a desire to return, making it a noteworthy stop in Altea for anyone looking to savor the local cuisine.
We were delighted with our second experience at L'Espill. The restaurant has a prime location by the sea, with beautiful views that make the food even more special. The paella was spectacular, full of flavor and perfectly cooked; you can tell the quality of the ingredients. The service was very friendly and attentive at all times, making us feel very comfortable. Without a doubt, an ideal place to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine in Altea. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning!

Great location with a lovely view overlooking the beach. The staff are amazing friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I was initially sceptical about the pizza because, in most places, the flavours are usually just average, but this restaurant was different and really surprised me. The prawns in garlic also blew my expectations. Overall, fantastic food and a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.

A great choice in every way. Food, place, service... Although it is quite busy and it's understandable that it takes a bit longer to be served, it's worth trying all the food at this place and receiving the attention from the waitstaff. We will definitely return.

We arrived on a regular Friday in December with very pleasant temperatures. We decided to try eating on the terrace. We chose the menu because I love seasonal products at a good price. We had a salad and some anchovies as a starter, and after tasting a glass of cava, we decided to order a bottle. For the main course, we ordered rice with chicken and vegetables. The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic. Everything was fantastic. A great experience. The only downside is that a glass of cava costs five euros, while a bottle of the same cava costs 18. But oh well …

Wonderful food, AMAZING service, and a stunning view of the ocean. Both the owner and the servers were above and beyond kind, fast and attentive. Will come back 100%!

I went with my partner, and we ordered the daily menu for two people. It was a very good choice to come here; the waiters were attentive and pleasant, and the service was excellent, just like the food. A good place to keep in mind.

Had a fab three course lunch, great value. The paella we had as a main was huge and everything was tasty. Lovely beach views too.

23 euro for a 3 course meal, a place where all the dishes take you to the sea. We had several starters with fish and a delicious paella. Ingrid, one of the owners, and her staff were charming and welcoming. Coming back to have another paella!

Excellent place by the sea. Every dish was delicious, the service was super friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. Didn't even look it up, we just stepped in while we were walking by, and everything was fine.

A fantastic restaurant right by the sea on the promenade of Altea. We had the daily menu on a Sunday for €23.90 per person, along with a jug of tinto de verano that, although a bit pricey, was absolutely delicious. I recommend starting with the salmorejo, one of the best I've ever tasted. Then we ordered the seafood paella, and we loved it. Definitely worth repeating!
