Castell Del Port is situated just a stone's throw from the sea at Avinguda del Port, 9, 03590 Altea, Alicante, Spain. This Italian restaurant specializes in pizza and offers a cozy atmosphere complemented by a beautifully decorated terrace. The proximity to the marina enhances the dining experience, allowing guests to enjoy pleasant views while savoring their meals. The staff is noted for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a welcoming environment.
The menu features a variety of dishes that have garnered positive feedback. The calamares andaluza is particularly praised for its exceptional texture and flavor, while the spaghetti frutti di mare is reported to be cooked al dente and generously topped with seafood. Pizzas are a highlight, with options like the Pizza Saporita, which includes spicy chorizo, receiving acclaim for its taste and generous portion size. The dough is homemade, which many diners appreciate, although some have noted that the addition of raw vegetables on certain pizzas may not appeal to everyone. Desserts, such as the homemade tiramisú, are also well-received, often described as among the best available.
While the food quality is generally high, there have been occasional mentions of service inconsistencies. Some diners have experienced delays in attention, particularly during quieter times, which can detract from the overall enjoyment. However, many patrons still recommend giving Castell Del Port a try, citing the good value for money and the quality of the food as compelling reasons to visit. The restaurant's location, combined with its menu offerings, makes it a noteworthy option for those exploring Altea's culinary scene.
We ended up at this establishment, as so many times before, by chance, and it was a great choice. The service was top-notch, the waitress was super attentive and friendly, keep it up, it’s a pleasure to be served this way. The food was excellent, everything was delicious and served on time, the cheesecake, what a treat!!! The only thing I don’t like, but it’s a lost cause, is that they allow dogs. Would I recommend it? Without a doubt, give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed ..👍👍👍👍😉😉😉😉😉😜😜😜😜

We went to the restaurant as a group of five people and we couldn't even eat. The waiter didn't escort us to the table, didn't offer the menu... he simply disappeared. We sat for about 15 minutes without a menu, not even knowing if anyone would attend to us. At least we could have used that time to choose our dishes, but not even that. When the waiter finally returned, he not only didn’t apologize, but he started making faces, imitating our surprised expressions, and getting annoyed at our disappointment over his absence. A completely unprofessional and unpleasant behavior. Moreover, there were at most two tables occupied in the entire room, so it's hard to understand such a lack of attention. In the end, the waiter managed to make five hungry customers, ready to spend a considerable amount, leave the restaurant. Very disappointed. Such service takes away any desire to return.

The restaurant is located just a few meters from the sea, featuring a very nice and decorated terrace, and with super friendly and helpful waiters. The food: Andalusian calamari; if I say they were spectacular, that would be an understatement, both in texture and flavor, and in the breading, simply perfect. Spaghetti frutti di mare; I didn't try them, but I was told they were al dente and very tasty, with plenty of chunks of fish and seafood. Tuscany pizza; I tried it and it was good, because the dough is homemade and quite tasty, but I'm not a fan of raw vegetables on pizza, the rest was very good. Saporita pizza; the one I ordered was delicious, I really liked the spicy chorizo or pepperoni, I don't know what it was, but it was very good. Plus, the pizzas are a good size. Tiramisú; homemade, and easily one of the best I've ever tried, simply amazing. A special mention for the spicy oil they ask if you want to put on the pizza; they bring a jar of this oil with floating herbs, because inside this seemingly harmless jar hides a weapon of mass destruction, just three drops on a slice of pizza almost make me feel fire in my throat, only for palates that can handle it, hehe. In summary, a highly recommended place, you can't go wrong if you come here to eat.

I love the place, they make the best pizza, the service is good, and the place itself is very cozy

The pizza was excellent, with a great crust and a nice size. The fresh pasta was just okay; it lacked flavor and the sauce was mediocre. The goat cheese salad was good. They no longer offer a children's menu, and prices have gone up a bit lately. The quality is still good, but if they don't keep an eye on the prices...

Very nice views across the marina I had a salad of the sea, all out of a tin 🥫 so slightly let down, very clean and friendly, the restaurant has an extensive menu. Overall I thought it was expensive for what we where served.
