From the moment I arrived, until I had to say goodbye, this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Beautiful clean, and all the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Loved the bedroom door - it closed quietly and did not slam. Wonderful location a nd lovely walks along the promenade.

José antonio Elías pardal Honestly, this is the first time I've experienced so many negative things at a hotel. First, we arrived, and I had booked a room with a sea view, but that was not the case. I went down to reception, and they told me that only the suites have sea views; mine had a slight glimpse of the sea if you looked to the right. Well, I accepted that and moved on. When it was time for dinner or lunch, we found that the majority of tables were reserved. My wife and I started to feel like second-class guests because sometimes, to find a table, we had to call the manager to help us. I've been traveling during Valentine's season for many years, and I've never felt this way before. I ordered a bottle of wine, and when we finished, they kept it for dinner. They asked if I wanted it chilled, and I said yes, please. They noted it on the card attached to the bottle, but when we asked for it at dinner, they told us they hadn't realized and hadn't put it in the fridge. Any other hotel would have found a solution to this, but they didn't care. To top it all off, I got really upset, which has never happened to me before. After dinner, as is customary in hotels, there were performances, and we danced and had a few drinks and coffee. To our surprise, when we went to get a table for lunch, they told us it was reserved, supposedly for those who had booked a bottle of cava. They suggested we sit at the back where there was no view. That really made me angry, and I told the manager that this wasn't mentioned when booking the trip; if it had been, I probably wouldn't have come. This has been the worst trip I've had in over 15 years of staying in hotels in Benidorm. I won't say I've never had surprises in hotels, but most of the time, this kind of thing doesn't happen. In all hotels, there are tables reserved for groups traveling together, which I think is fine, but in this case, it was any kind of table for two, four, or eight. I also want to make it clear that the manager eventually found us a better table after my complaint, but he kept insisting it was for those who ordered a bottle of cava. Between coffees and drinks, we probably spent more than a bottle of cava for eight people. Well, this is what my wife and I experienced at this hotel. Thank you.

Yesterday, Saturday, I went out to dinner with friends, and afterwards we decided to head to the dance floor for a drink while enjoying the live music. To our surprise, all the front-row tables were reserved. We waited for a bit to see if that was true while we debated whether to stay or leave. In the end, we chose to leave after asking a middle-aged man who seemed to be in charge at that moment if everything was indeed reserved. Today, while discussing it with other friends who arrived around 10 PM, they told us they sat in the front row without a reservation and without having dined there. I think they need to manage the table reservations better to avoid losing customers to other places.

The location of the hotel is the best for walking along the boardwalk and swimming. Unfortunately, the TV was spotty, and the Wi-Fi didn't work for most of the time we were there. The towel warmer in the bathroom never shut off, so the room was always too hot. There are a lot of older guests who winter at the hotel, so if you're looking for a younger crowd, you might want to try another place. They do have nightly live music which is fun. Though dated, this is a solid hotel.

This hotel is really beautiful and perfectly located right on the promenade. There's plenty of activity here, even though it's the low season. By the way, the entire hotel had a wonderful scent. The buffet was great, but what stood out the most was the attentive service. We will definitely be back.

You can't get nicer staff than here at the Kaktus Hotel. We were badly let down on an apartment and we called in to see if they had any vacancies. A really friendly man on reception found us a fabulous room, with a fantastic sea view. The room was really large and although older furnishings as others have said, it was spotless. Traditional furniture doesn't bother us and it made a nice change from the clinical look you normally get in a hotel. We were bed and breakfast, it was superb, everything you could think of and Cava if you wanted it. All the staff, including the cleaners are so helpful and friendly. Hopefully we will be back soon.

I spent the weekend with my wife, and everything was fantastic. The buffet food was excellent, especially the pizzas at dinner. Our room was very spacious, and the bathroom was quite large too, with spectacular sea views. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, a solid 10. We enjoyed everything, and since it was the low season, we had no trouble finding parking. We will definitely return; I highly recommend it.

Fantastic, 100%. Without a doubt, we will return and recommend it.
Reason for the trip: 26th wedding anniversary. We can't thank the entire hotel team enough, the reception, the restaurant (a huge thank you to Rosa for being my first accomplice in our anecdote, to the maître Jesús, to the chef, and to the entire kitchen team... for preparing the surprise for my husband at Saturday's dinner, I expected much less and, in the end, the surprise was for us, you are amazing!!), to the entire housekeeping team (Thank you Ana and her colleague for the decoration and details in the room, we loved it!!!, for the recommendation to see the lighthouse, beautiful!!!! and to the cleaner who attended to us and made sure we had everything we needed in the room. Additionally, the whole hotel smells wonderful). Amazing hotel with indoor parking, buffet restaurant, shows every night, open all year round, beachfront, rooftop indoor pool, close to many places to visit (Altea, Benidorm....), Mercadona, Lidl, Aldi, Coaliment, plenty of shops nearby...... We will return!!

Our group of 15 cyclists enjoyed the service and the excellent staff. The food ranged from good to very good. The rooms could use updating. The mattresses, in particular, are in dire need of replacing. Nevertheless, our group unanimously considered it a success, thanks in part to the facilities and, above all, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We will definitely be back.

We had a really bad experience in this hotel. We booked it because it is a common destination for elder people, so we expected a calm spot to rest with our baby. To our surprise, they have a celebration room where they celebrated a wedding on the Saturday night. The celebration went on for the whole night and our little one couldn't sleep because the rooms are not noise isolated at all. And that is the other complain, the hotel looks good but it looks like it hadn't a renovation since the 90s at least. The hotel is not in a good maintenance state.
