Far de l'Albir is perched atop a cliff at an elevation of 112 meters, nestled within the stunning Sierra Helada Natural Park, which stretches between Albir and Benidorm. This historical lighthouse has been guiding sailors since its inauguration in 1863. For nearly a century, it served as a home for lighthouse keepers and their families until the 1960s. After years of neglect following its automation, the structure underwent significant rehabilitation in 2011, transforming it into a cultural center and interpretation site for the surrounding park. Visitors can explore a small museum and an exhibition hall that details the lighthouse's history and showcases the diverse marine life found in the area.

Access to Far de l'Albir is facilitated by a well-maintained, paved path that stretches approximately 2.5 kilometers one way, making it suitable for all ages and mobility levels, including families with children and those using wheelchairs. The trail, which is closed to vehicle traffic, offers a leisurely stroll with minimal elevation gain. Along the way, several viewpoints provide breathtaking vistas of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains, including Puig Campana. The lighthouse itself offers panoramic views of the coastline and is a prime spot for birdwatching, with various seabirds, such as gulls and the blue-hued rock thrush, frequently spotted in the area.

The interpretation center is open daily from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with extended hours during July and August. Admission to the lighthouse is free, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere and enjoy the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below. While the walk to the lighthouse is straightforward and accessible, some visitors have noted the absence of restroom facilities along the route, which may be a consideration for those planning their visit. Overall, Far de l'Albir stands as a remarkable blend of natural beauty and historical significance, providing a peaceful retreat for those looking to connect with the coastal landscape.
