Tachos Bajos is a traditional bar that has maintained its essence over the years. The food is simple but well-prepared, with good ingredients and generous portions designed for enjoyment without complications. The service is usually direct and friendly, like in traditional bars where closeness is key. It’s an ideal place to visit regularly, meet friends, or just stop by for a drink knowing you’ll eat well and pay a fair price. A classic that deserves to be appreciated.

A restaurant near the Fishing Port of Sta. Lucia, with easy parking. It tends to be very busy, but it's worth the wait. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's one of those places with paper tablecloths, and they have an indoor dining area as well as a covered terrace. They offer a very complete menu for €13.50 with generous portions (salad as a starter, first course, second course, dessert, bread, 1 drink, and coffee). Home-cooked meals. I ordered fried fish as my main course, and it was very good. And if you order from the menu, they have various portion sizes. I recommend it.

A long-standing place, authentic and straightforward. Everything we ordered was delicious; you can tell they use good ingredients and know how to cook. And the cazón en adobo… incredible. Honestly, the best I've ever had in my life. The frying was just right, flavorful, tender… amazing. Plus, the price is great and the service is super friendly. A place to return to without a second thought.

Good offering of seafood done simply but well - very good value for the large portions. The fried mixed variety of fish is particularly impressive for the price and great to have a bit of everything without having to decide. Of the 3 Cafe Asiáticos I tried in Cartagena, this was the best - a good option for a sweet finish instead of dessert.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and what a lovely local experience it was! Very typical tapas available in different portion sizes. The atmosphere is rather of a “cantina” yet the quality of the food makes up for that lack of coziness

A tremendously authentic local seafood restaurant in Cartagena’s commercial port area - and only about 200m from our AirBnB apartment for the weekend. Clearly family-run based on the photographs around the dining room. We visited on a Saturday evening about 20:00 as things were just getting going. There were plenty of staff ready and waiting, and a dedicated staff member on welcoming duties suggested a busy night ahead. We opted for calimari and an octopus dish, both of which were fresh and excellent. A salad and bottle of house white wine completed what was a very keenly priced meal.

Love it. So super old school, so old and so authentic. Fantastic see food, great atmosphere. Very loud when full. Unfortunately not often open in the evening.
