A small bar located right across from the main entrance of the train station. There are usually customers, as in addition to the regulars, many people stop by here for a drink while waiting for their train.

Exorbitant prices for the poor quality. The calamari sandwich was terrible considering how long it took to make it. The waitress was very nice, though the "affectionate" part was unnecessary. Oh well. And the chairs were so close you could practically bump into them. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. I like traditional bars, but not ones so run-down.

Another great stop off by the train station in Cartagena. We had four small wonderfully cold draught beers with nuts and it was only €6. Although perhaps not the most de luxe food joint it offered a range of fresh sandwiches at around €3.50 to €6. These places a great. You have a bit to eat, maybe beer, maybe coffee, use the toilet, hop on your train.

This is the best place for lunch, dinner, or breakfast. They offer a wide variety of delicious tapas, and the sandwiches are spectacular, with really tasty bread. The owners and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth a visit!

After a few hours in Cartagena we headed back to the railway station. This small cafe bar is opposite. Has a small interior and maybe seating out front for about 24. Took a couple of bottles of Mahou for Jorvic and Paulicarus. A simple unpretentious bar, ok to pass a bit of pre train time.

This is a classic bar that has stood the test of time, serving delicious tapas and featuring a lovely staff right by the Cartagena train station. I highly recommend the calamari with tomato and the tortillas.
