**A LITTLE TREASURE BY THE SEA IN ALTEA**
In the heart of Altea's seaside promenade, at Carrer Sant Pere, 7, lies Hotel San Miguel, one of those places you discover almost by chance… and end up remembering with a smile.
We stayed just one night, taking advantage of a quiet day strolling through Altea, and the experience was perfect from the very first moment. The hotel has that simple and authentic charm of traditional coastal accommodations: cozy, comfortable, and just a few steps from the beach. Pleasant rooms, a relaxed atmosphere, and a warm welcome that makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive.
But what deserves special mention is their restaurant, where we decided to have lunch the next day. Simple, honest, and well-executed Mediterranean cuisine, the kind that you crave when you’re by the sea.
We started with some mussels, served with bread, aioli, and tomato, perfect for whetting the appetite. Then came a platter of fried fish, crispy and tasty, which disappeared in minutes. For the main course, we enjoyed a sole à la meunière, delicate and very well prepared, along with a detail I loved: a spinach and anchovy rice dish prepared for one person, something that is rarely offered and shows care for the customer.
And if you add to all this a wine list with surprisingly reasonable prices, something increasingly hard to find, the experience gets even better.
A simple hotel but with soul, and a restaurant where you can feel the sea, the produce, and the hospitality.
Thanks to the entire team at Hotel San Miguel for making us feel so good during our getaway to Altea. It was a true pleasure… and I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Our stay was excellent. The room was very nice, with a beautiful view of the sea that made everything even more special. The girl who attended to us was very friendly and kind, and the check-in was very quick and easy.
The bed was very comfortable, everything was impeccably clean, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Without a doubt, we will return!

The hotel is very nice with views of the sea, and there are also rooms with views of the city. What I find incredible is that I can't book a room by calling on the phone. I have to do it through their website, Booking, or the computer, and none of those three options allows me to book a room. It's truly unbelievable.

We ate at the restaurant. The food was good, nothing out of this world, but tasty. They were in a hurry, took our order, and within two minutes we had mussels and shrimp on the table. Two minutes later, the salad and the bread with alioli arrived. I have spent a lot of time as a waitress and would never serve steamed mussels before the salad and bread, but I repeat, they were in a hurry. After 20 minutes, they brought the paella, which got cold on the table because the other diners had to wait 20 minutes for their dishes to arrive. They quickly took away our dessert and coffee, and clearly brought the bill without us asking. They approached our table to ask if we could leave because they had a reservation at 3:30 PM. I repeat, the food was good, but I wouldn't eat there again because they don't manage reservations or time well. If I go out to eat, I want to do it calmly. If I want something quickly, I go to McDonald's. Additionally, they handed us the bill on a piece of paper written by hand by themselves. It's the first time I've seen something like that.

This is more of a busy restaurant with rooms upstairs rather than a hotel.
The room was big and clean, and the location was excellent.
Unfortunately, it was very loud in my room - both from traffic noise and noise from other rooms, which made it difficult to sleep.

We stayed in a room with a sea view and it was a spectacular sunrise. However, you will wake up early because, although there are thick curtains, a bit of light still gets through. The room was clean, the bathrooms too, there is an elevator, and we were happy with everything. Additionally, we ate at the hotel restaurant and it was a perfect 10 out of 10, their arroz banda was delicious, and they don't skimp on the shrimp portions. A true delight!

Basic , but very good, clean, and beachfront hotel above busy restaurant with great food . I've been to this hotel twice and I'll definitely go back there again.

My flight was delayed and so I missed the last bus. Luckily a family member could pick me up and drove me to the hotel.
It was closed. We phoned the hotel and explained why I was late. The receptionist sighed boredly and just hung up without saying a word. Finally he opened the door and was very agitated.
But let me in.
Will not stay here again any time soon.

This hotel was perfect and exactly what I needed. I came to Spain to rest and reset, and I was able to do so in hotel San Miguel. I feel the price for the double room with a balcony was on point, even though the daily construction right out front took away from the beach view, I was still so happy. Honestly the balcony was incredible! So big and a comical amount of seating. The room was very clean and maintained daily. I also found out from a local I met that this hotel is very authentic and has the best paella / Spanish foods in Altea that all the other restaurants model their food after (I tried it after they told me that, and they're right, it was delicious!). Additionally, the hotel staff was so kind and accommodating, and I liked the key card system for late night entry. I would absolutely come back and stay here again.
