My experience this time was disappointing, as years after returning to Mejilloneria, the quality has changed compared to what the restaurant used to be. The service was quick and efficient, but more like a tapas bar than a restaurant. The calamari sandwich was smaller, and the mayonnaise was runny and yellowish, tasting like butter. The mussels were served in a half portion, totaling six units, or three per person, and they were cold. The patatas bravas were quite undercooked, and there was way too much sauce for such a small amount. The price for the quality was rather poor. I will return for the eggplants. Best regards

One star is too much for this place. It was our mistake to go there with too much hunger. The mussels in vinaigrette were tiny, but the worst was the fry that the waiter recommended: the fish was in bad condition, poorly fried. Once we had satisfied our hunger, we had to stop eating. The waiter asked us, and we told him it was in bad condition: he remained silent. No one should go there if they don't want to get sick; this place should be shut down.

The waiter initially brought us the wrong order, as we did not order anything with spicy sauce. Later, he brought it with mayonnaise sauce, but had added spicy ketchup on his own in the kitchen. He then raised his voice, insisting that all the sauces were spicy, even though the menu did not mention this and we had clarified that we did not want any spicy sauce. The dishes were also not properly washed. We do not recommend this place if you don’t want to ruin your mood.

We walked into this place called Mejilloneria, which has a unique name. All the dishes were delicious, but one dish of squid ruined everything; the frying oil was overused and had a very bitter taste. Next year, I'll come back to see if they take my comment into account. The kitchen needs to be maintained at 100%.

5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service. The food is very well prepared and presented: octopus, anchovies, baby squid, calamari, mussels, croquettes... Everything is very good. They make spicy squid sandwiches. I tried the portion, but in a sandwich, it must be spectacular. The waiters are very attentive and quick, with friendliness and good humor despite the place being packed. There is a terrace and an indoor dining area. Prices are very reasonable, not expensive.

I will start with the positive aspects, which mainly was the food. It was delicious and tasty and we really enjoyed it. Drinks were also nice as we had beers. The negative aspect is the staff. There were three waiters, two of them were very polite to us, and the other one was kind of throwing the plates at the table, not very nice. We decided to be inside the bar, and two of the waiters were being absolutely rude towards the one that was behind the counter. We felt extremely uncomfortable listening to the situation (I am a Spaniard so fully understand). It felt that it was a bullying situation, and made our experience very uncomfortable. Not sure if I would recommend.
