I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience.
First of all, the food was excellent. The presentation was beautiful and I really appreciated that the dishes were not overly complicated but focused on interesting and well-balanced flavor combinations. It’s actually quite difficult to please me, as I don’t eat many ingredients, but the menu fit my preferences perfectly, which was a very pleasant surprise.
Secondly, I really enjoyed the wine list and had great pleasure exploring it during the evening.
And finally, the service was excellent. The team was very attentive and well-coordinated and everything throughout the evening felt smooth and at a very high level.

Today we had the tasting menu "HÁBITAT" and found it spectacular, just like the service we received from the waitstaff and the owner. They were attentive at all times. The price is completely in line with the place. We left a photo of the dishes we liked the most. We wanted to try the cheeses, but we were already full. We will return to keep trying new things.

When you visit a Michelin-starred restaurant, and not for the first time, you expect a global gastronomic experience: professional and attentive service, a well-thought-out tasting menu executed in the kitchen, reflecting the flavors of the land or area where it is located, an appropriate rhythm between courses, subtle attention…
Our visit was perhaps a bit disappointing, possibly due to excessive expectations or the game of the goddess fortune that was not with us that day. There is nothing to question about the professionalism of the service, which was attentive and unobtrusive, nor about the rhythm between the dishes, nor about the explanations that were presented with each dish. However, the Hábitat menu left us somewhat disappointed.
We started with the snacks, where we highlighted the caramelized ensaladilla and the wildflower (vegetarian sobrasada and honey). The potato crystal (outside of its technique, it added no flavor) with mullet roe and the broth of poultry, citrus, and corn did not catch our attention, although the citrus bonbon and herbs were an interesting counterpoint.
The first disappointment came with the dish Quisquilla from our coast, almond, and caviar, as it also contained, which I did not understand, pieces of frozen sheep butter. While in haute cuisine, temperature contrasts are sought, the literally "frozen" butter blocked the flavor of such a fine shellfish as the quisquilla. The butter, being so cold, did not melt on the palate and "covered" the delicate flavor of the quisquilla and the caviar. The quisquilla, which has a somewhat creamy bite, clashes too much with the hardness of a piece of frozen fat. The solid fat blocked the flavor. This is an important technical error.
The next disappointment was with the artichoke, smoked eel, and foie. The dish was served with a broth that, in my opinion, was excessively light; the ingredients with so much character and fat (especially the foie and the eel) required a more robust base to amalgamate the flavors.
The Ventresca of red tuna and the lamb from Calblanque pleased us. We were somewhat disappointed with the Arroz de Calasparra: land and mountain. In my opinion, while the rice was creamy, the al dente point was not achieved as the center was somewhat crunchy. Another technical error.
Noteworthy is their cheese cart (for an additional charge). The desserts and petit fours were acceptable for the place.
Two things that we did not like deserve a separate mention. The first is that the tables do not have tablecloths (a minimalist aesthetic that adds nothing) compared to the warmth of a tablecloth. Tables without tablecloths gave a feeling of coldness and also cooled the dish compared to the fabric, and in haute cuisine, every degree matters. The second is that, since the menu is with drinks separately and if you order the cheese cart, it already comes at a high price, it is incomprehensible that the only coffee served is a specialty coffee for 8 € (i.e., almost 10% of the Hábitat menu), using a manual lever technique via a service cart that they bring to the table. In a restaurant of this level, exclusivity should not be at odds with variety. If the customer wants a full-bodied coffee, with dense cream and the typical bitterness of a professional hospitality machine, forcing them to have a manual coffee (which is more acidic and lighter) is a service error. Charging 8 € for a coffee is, objectively, very expensive. It is justified under the argument of "ritual" (the cart, the grinding at the moment, the talk about the bean), but if you just want a coffee to finish the meal, all that display is unnecessary.

Excellent restaurant in Cartagena, located in the new town just a short walk from the old city. We chose the Habitat fixed menu, including an outstanding rice course. Every dish was consistently well executed, which is not common even in good restaurants. The sequence of flavors across the menu felt balanced, with smooth transitions between courses. We appreciated the diversity (vegetarian, fish, and meat dishes) and the clear focus on local ingredients. The food is rooted in regional cuisine but presented in a more refined, sophisticated way, while remaining very approachable in taste. Service was professional and attentive. The dining room is comfortable, though not particularly distinctive.

One of the best experiences in the entire region. Top-notch products, deeply rooted in the recipes and typical dishes of Cartagena. The service is excellent. The moment when the cheese cart arrives at your table, with Adrián perfectly explaining each one, is one of the best in the culinary experience. I've already visited this restaurant six times and I never get tired of it!

An exclusive place where the perfect preparation of food takes center stage. Unique, exquisite dishes, with many references to the city and region, make the restaurant a truly great experience. My rating reflects my personal taste and preferences, which don’t necessarily validate this cuisine, as I lean more towards traditional fare. That said, it’s important to acknowledge that everything was genuinely exquisite and María greeted us very attentively.

María and her team are simply a spectacle. The quality of the ingredients, the expertise in preparation, and the exquisite service are remarkable. They have one, but they deserve ten stars. Cartagena should be proud of this gastronomic luxury. Congratulations.

We had the big tasting menu with the basic wine pairing and it was far better then we expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Magoga while in port with our cruise. The service was excellent and matched the food which was extraordinary, excellent and generous. We ordered a la carte. The suckling pig, cheese coarse and tuna stood out. Save room for all of the extras! I wanted to order the Spanish potato salad by the quart ;). The wine pairing was spot on and it was relatively affordable for a meal of such quality. Final commendation to the staff who were extremely gracious and knowledgeable. I would say it is my best meal ever but hopefully that is yet to come. If you have an opportunity to dine at Magoga, by all means do so.

Magoga is an absolute gem in Cartagena! We had an incredible dining experience – the food was truly delicious, the service was immaculate, and the ambience was lovely.
What really stands out is how beautifully the dishes are inspired by local products, creating a unique and authentic taste of the region. Every plate felt like a thoughtful journey through the flavors of Cartagena. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal!
