Saint Barbara, the patron saint of artillery, the Virgin of Mount Carmel, the patron saint of the navy, and the colossal Christ that presides over the main altar, are the most significant sacred images of this wonderful church, which, by the way, was a chapel many years ago. I am grateful to Jaime for giving me a lesson in humility by explaining every detail of the history of this magnificent military church. I hope that one day I will have the luck to see the crypt that is within this sacred place; it would bring me great joy to achieve that.

Church in Cartagena, Spain. Travelers from nearby vessels in port, need only walk through the adjacent courtyard, through the streets, sidewalk vendors, and retail shops, to get to the front entrance of this church. Both live hot flames and digital LED flames, are available inside for practitioners to participate in personal candle ceremonies. The interior is decorated with intricate sculptures, paintings, and adornments, to Catholicism and Jesus Christ.

Beautiful church, amazingly peacefull atmosphere. Lit 2 candles for remembrance, extremely good qualty candles. We'll worth a visit even if your not religious.

Well worth a visit. Lots of interesting boards in English providing information on the church. Has links to the military base and fishing traditions.
