I feel an overwhelming sense of disbelief at how naturally an illegal settlement that usurps public land, degrades the environment, and defies all urban planning regulations and other rules that any housing in our country must adhere to is accepted.... Even more so when houses that meet all legal requirements are demolished for not complying with the Coastal Law.

There are no beaches, but there is a small pool for swimming and snorkeling. You'll see plenty of little fish, so bring good snorkeling gear and goggles. The walk from the parking area takes 15 minutes along a path. The place is very beautiful and not crowded. Afterwards, you can go to the village to eat. You just need to make a reservation online.

It's a beautiful place, and there's a little bar called Azul 77 that has amazing views. It's pricey, but worth it for the location, and you'll enjoy a great swim. If you walk a bit to the right side of Algameca, you'll reach an idyllic cove called Cala del Mirador.

We visited this beautiful village on a summer Saturday, so I recommend arriving early to reach the swimming areas before it gets too hot. You can park in the village at the free parking lot, but I must warn you that the path is rocky, so depending on your car, it might be better to leave it on the outskirts and walk half an hour to get there. The place is stunning, instantly transporting you to another country; it's like visiting a Colombian commune surrounded by the sea and boats. If you want to swim without complications, you can follow the village path to the beaches next to the viewpoint, where you can access the sea easily, but it's relatively close to the refinery, so I recommend that if you can physically manage it, you walk to the Amalia arch, where you can visit the sea surrounded by rocks, so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. It was beautiful.

Very nice and interesting place. You have one bar and two restaurants there. But they are not always open. You can have very nice walks in the area around.
