I have been there a total of four times, three of which I accompanied another person. During those three visits, there was always something, whether it was comments between doctors that could be heard in the hallway like "if they're that serious, they should go to the hospital", a lack of attention to symptoms, and comments from the patient... Literally, one of the people I accompanied told the doctor that she didn't use ventolin because she had a history of allergies in childhood. Well, he scolded her for not using it (how can she use something that no doctor has prescribed for her and having been allergic in childhood???), and on top of that, he prescribed her a ventolin!!! This is just one of many stories. Anyway.

The service was extremely slow, and the doctor seemed absent and sleepy. It's no wonder that people wait 35 minutes for a consultation; you arrive at the emergency room in pain and leave with five more, not to mention the lack of staff and the unprofessionalism of the doctor.

Once again, I come from the clinic where arrogance, condescension, and sour faces seem to be the order of the day (today because I mistakenly went through the wrong door). Thankfully, I don’t go often, but it doesn’t seem normal to me that livestock should be better attended to by veterinarians than we are by humans. It’s a shame that the friendliness and kindness of some assistants, receptionists, and the few doctors who have substituted for the “regulars” are overshadowed by those with terrible manners that I’m witnessing. Please: if you’re not happy working in one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, do us all a favor and keep requesting transfers to other centers, because I believe that Altea generally treats everyone with kindness. In any private center, you wouldn’t last a week with that attitude. Why do you think we deserve it? Fortunately, I just saw that my family doctor is no longer there, a “Something with AL,” how nice. I’m of an age now, and in other centers, I’ve always been treated wonderfully. Why not in my village? I hope someone cares about the poor treatment we receive and gives a nudge to these unpleasant professionals, because it doesn’t seem fair that we leave consultations feeling sick and as if we’re a bother. What are you supposed to be doing if you’re not attending to us? We are your patients, not an inconvenience: if the goal is to make us feel so uncomfortable that we can’t clarify our doubts or that we don’t take three more minutes of your time with our ailments, you’re achieving that. Today, my son woke up with a bad cough, fever, and feeling unwell—just really tired. Since there was no school, we decided to go to the health center. They sent us to Dr. Moreno, who practically scolded us for not wearing a mask. She also rudely told us that we should have made an appointment online. Of course, I should know when to warn my son that he needs to get sick! We haven't been to this center in many years because there's always someone (not everyone) who enjoys making things difficult for others. Fortunately, we have private insurance, which is worth it in the end. In summary, a doctor's primary duty is to help, and it's clear that this lady hasn't learned that. I don't want to think anything else; everyone has to live with their own conscience and professionalism.

The doctor who treated me for a sore throat was really negligent. She prescribed broad-spectrum antibiotics but at no point did she inform me that despite my visibly sensitive skin, I should be careful about being in the sun. This has resulted in me having a very severe reaction of itchy and painful hives. I am really disappointed by this lack of care and conscientiousness from an experienced doctor. Furthermore, she was quite dismissive and not particularly interested in treating me. She looked at me very briefly and almost automatically prescribed broad-spectrum antibiotics. In addition, she made us wait for a long time and took in local patients who had come in after me. It was only when there were no more locals that I was called in. Very unprofessional treatment. I don't know if there is a complaints system for doctors in Spain but it would be obvious to complain about such treatment. The person in the reception was on the otter hand extremely professionel and helpful and it was her first day at the job. She definately did the reception credit.

I was just in the emergency room. My throat has been hurting for five days, I can't swallow or talk. And I've never met such a bad attitude towards patients from a nurse . He told me I disturbed his sleep. He looked at my throat for half a second and said that I don't have anything there. And that I should come to the doctor in the morning, and not wake him up at 4:30 in the morning. To which I told him that I can't sleep because of the pain and that it's his job. That's why he looked at me with such a displeased look. He told me to take ibuprofen. I've been taking it for 5 days now, no use. I would like to write a complaint against this nurse, who treats his sick patients and their feelings with such humiliation and disrespect. After I went to a private hospital. They said it was an infection and prescribed antibiotics. Thanks a lot to them !

Professional in the treatment. After their emergency care we went to a private clinic the next day, which praised the treatment we had received here. Very good. Downside is that their English is quite poor / limited and that we had to fill out admin first, while they started emergency treatment on my son - which is not very friendly.
