Altea is absolutely beautiful and has such a relaxed vibe. The old town with its whitewashed buildings, narrow streets, and blue-domed church feels like something from a postcard. There are loads of little cafés, shops, and viewpoints, and everywhere you look there are amazing views of the sea and mountains. It’s peaceful without feeling boring, and perfect for wandering around, taking photos, and just enjoying the atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to again.

Looking from afar, the color of water is really nice. Its almost turqoise. There is so much space. Very very few people in the area in Aug 2025. It was promising. However, I was so disappointed. There were big sharp rocks underneath the waves. We got a little scared. During that time, theres also a lot of dried leaves or seaplants floating in the shore so it doesnt give us a nice feeling and it looks dirty. There were toilets but no shower and no faucet to wash your feet. We are not going back to this beach. I do not recommend this.

It's not a fine sand beach, but rather one made of white pebbles, so it's best to wear water shoes if you're not used to it. However, in exchange, you get super clear waters and a beautiful environment. It's located right by the promenade, so you have bars, ice cream shops, and restaurants very close by. It's perfect for taking a peaceful swim and then enjoying a drink while watching the sea. Additionally, since there's no sand, the water tends to be cleaner and there are fewer crowds even in summer. A great option if you're looking for a beautiful beach in Altea to relax without leaving the town center.

We spent a few hours at the beach. The water is very clear, and the turquoise color of the sea is beautiful. It's a very quiet beach, perhaps because it's made of stones rather than sand. It's advisable to wear beach shoes. But it's really enjoyable. We were there in mid-August, and there were not many people. The promenade has plenty of restaurants and accommodations. A street away, you'll find the tram station and a bus stop.

We had a very bad experience at the beach. We arrived at 10 in the morning, huge jellyfish were washed ashore! People almost didn't bathe at all, they were just on the beach. I do not recommend visiting...

We spent a couple of hours at Playa La Roda and absolutely loved our time there. It was a perfect sunny beach day, with the clear turquoise waters and a mix of fine sand and pebbles creating a pleasant experience for both lounging and swimming.

It's a very quiet beach, not very crowded. It was visited in August (mid-summer) and was empty. I imagine this is because it doesn't have sand, but rather pebbles; however, you can enjoy its crystal-clear waters very well. It's suitable for children in the area where there are breakwaters, as elsewhere the waves can be a bit strong. It's essential to bring water shoes. There are bars and restaurants quite close by. And if you take a walk to the beach, don't forget to visit the village, which is quite charming and has a very nice viewpoint.

The beach is made of pebbles, which has its pros and cons. You don't get covered in sand, but you need to come well-prepared with water shoes and a good mat for your back. The beach is very beautiful, but storms can sometimes damage it, requiring it to be closed for repairs. The water is cold and quickly gets deep.
