Privacy, in the open

The location is used while the app is open and never leaves the phone. Saved lakes, notes and trips sync only if a person signs in, and signing in is optional.

Where the numbers come from

The sources are listed by name — the federal and state agencies whose public records we read — because a number without a source is an opinion.
