The whole state in one glance

What this screen does

The list answers “where do I go today”. The map answers “what is out there at all” — the question every angler asks the first time they drive somewhere new. Each ring on the map is not just a count: the blue part is waters, the green is boat ramps, the amber is campgrounds. So before zooming in, you already know whether that town has somewhere to fish and somewhere to put the boat in. Tap a ring to open it, tap a pin to see the water, and the same card as in the list slides up from the bottom.

The data behind it

The rings are drawn from our own points: every published water, all 494 ramps and piers, every campground with its distance to the water. The base map underneath is our own vector tiles, hosted by us — no per-view billing from a map provider, and no dependency on anyone's pricing. Depth contours come from the same tiles, so zooming into a lake shows the survey, not a blue blob.
