What this screen does

This is the screen people will actually live in. It answers the weekend question before it is asked: here are the waters you can reach, how long the drive is, and which of them are worth it today. Sorted by drive time, not by alphabet or by how much someone paid us. The bite score sits on the card, so you can rule out four lakes without opening anything.

The data behind it

Drive times are real routes, not straight lines on a map — the same routing engine the trip planner uses, and it routes to the boat ramp rather than to the middle of the lake. The score on each card is the same forecast that the lake page shows, recalculated every few hours from live weather. Photos, acreage and depth come from the lake record.

What it calls

GET /api/fishing/near — nearest published waters with real drive time · GET /api/fishing/waters — the catalogue behind the cards · GET /api/fishing/:state/:slug/forecast — the score on each card
