It's a terrible bus station. There's no one at the information desk, no information panels: neither for platforms, nor for buses, nor for schedules, nothing at all. The luggage storage service is not operational, and the café is closed. The design over two floors... 🤷 It looks like a bus station from an abandoned city. It's unbelievable that a city with the volume of travelers that Cartagena has has such a station. Let's not even talk about the services.

It's a very large station, too large for the lines and services it currently offers. Perhaps it was built with an expansion in mind that never happened... The building is an adaptation of an old gas factory... and you can tell, both inside and out.

The prices for trips can be reasonable, but sometimes the ticket machine doesn't work or only allows card payments. If you only have cash, you're left without a trip. The drivers are quite rude and often ignore passengers; they see you and don't open the door or speak to you unpleasantly. This happened to me once when I was leaving a nightclub in the morning in Cabo de Palos. The bus came, and since people weren't queuing as they should have and supposedly "there wasn't much space" (the bus was empty except for 3 or 4 people), the driver left us all at the stop, and we had to walk from Cabo de Palos to Villas Caravani along the highway because he just left us there. I find this quite unacceptable, especially since he also yelled at us. We wanted to file a complaint, but no one paid attention to us.

The bus station in Cartagena is in very poor condition. I believe that such a beautiful city should have a different image for its central station. The bathrooms are terrible, making you feel like you're in a prison. There's no one to ask for help, and if you think of going to the ticket counter for information, the lady there has a horrible attitude and it's clear she doesn't like her job. The escalators are out of order, and using the elevator is scary because you don't know if you'll get stuck (and unfortunately, I had to use it because I was on crutches). There's a very basic café that looks like it's stuck in the 80s. I hope they invest more money and attention into improving such an important service for the city.

Did what a bus station should do. Plenty of space for busses to come and go safely. Large area for waiting. Adequate toilets and info. desk. Clear signage to numbered bus stops. Slightly disappointing cafe.

No screen for bus times, nor working machine for tickets, nor employees to ask questions (18:30 on sunday), nor working escalator. Hope they will fix soon, beautiful city!

Tickets can be purchased at the information desk or on the bus. Although the place is somewhat outdated, it remains classic and reasonably clean. We assume that due to the low profitability of the business, it's not possible to invest in renovations unless the administration invests more in the mansion than in the station 🥹. We've been to worse stations; the important thing is that there's transport and you reach your destination.

Okay Bus Station, interesting building. I expected worse with the bad reviews. Its true there is no info-displays however the woman at the info-counter was helpful and even spoke a few words of english, combined with my few words of spanish and I was sure which plattform to go to. The toilets are borderline disgusting, but at least there is some. Other than this not much to say.

VERY confusing for tourists. We got on a bus and bought tickets on the bus no problem; it was a cheap ticket and the driver told us when to get off at our stop. The next day; we wanted a different bus (to La Manga) and a VERY rude lady at the desk said we absolutely can't buy tickets ON that bus and that it was leaving in 1 minute! She was really rude and sassy, shoved the tickets into our hand and muttered something under her breath, then we had to leg it to the bus! There were NO service boards; no times of buses anywhere displayed; and nowhere to tell you which Stand to get which bus at! Staff in the Bus Station were rude and seemed to hate tourists.
