This modernist construction was built in 1909 by architect Víctor Beltrí as a residence for businessman Miguel Zapata Hernández. After the original owners passed away, it came into the hands of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity in 1942, becoming an educational center. The building features Gothic inspiration with Gaudí influences, adorning its main façade with trilobed arches, slender columns, and a coat of arms, along with a crenellated tower on one side. Inside, the lobby stands out, with marble walls decorated with reliefs, as well as a staircase made of the same material with a modernist railing. The most remarkable element is the Arabic courtyard, which has a square layout and two levels, decorated with Mudéjar plasterwork and polychrome tiles.

Rather surprising Jewel: there is a very pretty courtyard in Alhambra style that I could see after asking for it. Also splendid the ironwork of the fence.

A beautiful modernist building, dating from 1910, designed by the architect Beltrí. It has been the Carmelite school for several decades. The fence surrounding the grounds and the ironwork are lovely, as is the building itself. Inside, there is a Neo-Moorish style courtyard. It's a shame that the trees barely allow a view of the façade, the balcony, and the tower attached to the main entrance. It was originally the home of one of the many businessmen who made his fortune in mining at the end of the 19th century, surnamed Zapata, but popularly known as "Uncle Wolf."
