CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE. Commonly called the "Church of the Dead," because it is the seat and seat of the Confraternity of the Good Death. An example of neoclassical architecture, it has a beautiful travertine façade from the first half of the 19th century, with a single order, niches and Ionic pilasters, preceded by a double staircase leading to a crypt. Of the original church, only the graceful bell tower remains, with rounded stone edges resembling brick columns and a brick belfry. After the 1962 earthquake, significant restoration work was carried out, aiming to maintain almost complete respect for the original architectural lines. The tombstone of the Duke of Bovino, Carlo Antonio Guevara, who died on February 16, 1674, was also recovered. The interior contains finely crafted stucco decorations and is enriched by artistic 18th-century paintings.
