Old medieval defense tower, a bit outside of town. In very good condition, byt doesn't seem to be open to public.

Open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM, free entry. There are explanatory panels about the history of the tower inside. Great views of the palm grove and the city.

Impressive old tower in Elche, recently inaugurated and open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Exceptional views of the palm grove and the surrounding neighborhoods. Access is via the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. The staircase is spiral; I mention this because some people don't like that type of staircase. Unbeatable location and views. Highly recommended for tourists.

The Vaillo tower was one of many towers scattered throughout the fields of Elche to prevent enemy attacks. Today, the tower has little to offer inside, apart from several informational panels that explain the function of these towers and all those that once existed. The best part of the visit is the view from the top, which allows you to see practically the entire palm grove and many points of the city.

Nice views from the top. Just a shame the information was only in Spanish and Valencian, so tourists cannot learn the history of this tower.

If you take the route of the Palm Grove of Elche, you will see it... Something that has been there since the Middle Ages deserves a visit. Moreover, the Palm Grove route is easy and allows you to visit the most emblematic places in the city.
