This is an excellent museum. Jesús attended to us and provided detailed information; he is a true professional. It's a must-visit if you're in the area. We should thank the owners for their efforts in preserving the culture of Agost. The museum is perfect, located in an old ceramic factory that still houses Arabic kilns. Fantastic!

In the museum, you can see old pieces of pottery, some of them rare. One of the things that Mabel explained to us was that the Agost botijo has a pinch of salt in its components making it special. Thanks Mabel, I recommend a visit!

I finally got to visit Agost, and it was well worth the wait. The museum is fascinating, exceptionally organized, and the staff is incredibly attentive. I learned so much about pottery culture and its significance throughout history. I highly recommend visiting—100%!

Great little museum in the heart of Agost.vbwell worth a visit. Tells you all about the pottery for the area and you can book to have a go at pottery making. There is also a short walk around the old part of the town that shows where some of the potters did their work.

Great place. Well laid out, spacious and well lit. All explanations also in English which made is much easier for me to understand everything. Additionally to the history of pottery they also explained where the clay come from and when it has formed. Lots of exibits from different areas, lots of old photos as well. I really enjoyed the visit.

Visiting this museum is a truly delightful experience. For those of us in middle age and our elders, it's a chance to revisit the clay kitchenware and many essential tools from our daily lives that have been overshadowed by a fast-paced society and cheaper alternatives. It’s a journey back in time that helps us appreciate how things were made in the past—crafted with care and quality. That was the true culture of hard work. There’s a demonstration and scientific explanation for skeptics about the simple yet effective mechanism of the botijo, provided it’s a good one. The museum's Arabic oven is fascinating; it’s surprising to see the Muslim technology that was used up until the 20th century—another marvel of Muslim culture: everyone contributes, everyone adds to our collective heritage, and we owe much to them. Initially a privately funded initiative (launched by a German citizen in 1981), this speaks volumes about the cultural level and appreciation for our heritage by the authorities until the year 2000 (where was the local government?). It’s a must-visit and we should support initiatives like this. The museum staff member was a wonderful person, providing us with great information, and we are grateful for that. It’s definitely worth it and highly recommended.

An excellent museum! In such a "relatively small" village, they have this genuine luxury of a museum. It's very cool, and the guided tours are really great, my compliments. It features a very interesting permanent exhibition. I highly recommend a visit to everyone from the province.
