My dog ​​was seen today; it's the first time, and I hope it's the last. I went because, according to my vet, he had a heart murmur. Before going, I checked the prices, and initially, everything seemed clear. However, the specialist performed some tests that, in my opinion, were unnecessary. Before doing them, she examined him and stated that she didn't hear any murmur. Even so, she said that to rule it out, she would run a test, although from the beginning she was sure he was fine, something she confirmed when she didn't even want to attach the electrodes, literally saying that the dog was healthy and had nothing wrong with him. If that's the case, I don't understand the need to perform tests without first discussing the prices with the client, or informing them that these tests would involve an additional cost on top of the regular consultation. I'm not a specialist, and I shouldn't have to know that this would entail an extra charge. Had I known, I wouldn't have authorized the test, since my dog ​​was fine, and that was something she already knew. I believe they should provide clear information before carrying out any procedure to avoid misunderstandings.

A terrible experience and a complete lack of professionalism. I went to this clinic to discuss dental surgery for my dog, who also suffers from epilepsy and is on medication. After the consultation (which they did charge me for), treatment was prescribed and the surgery was scheduled. As a responsible pet owner, I requested basic and reasonable information by email about the type of anesthesia typically used in these cases, simply to put my mind at ease. I didn't ask for any changes to the protocols or question their professional judgment. The clinic's response was to unilaterally cancel the surgery, without prior notice, without a call from the surgeon, and without giving me any option to proceed, leaving me with a dog on antibiotics and without any surgery. Later, another veterinarian from the same clinic told me that the cancellation might have been because the surgeon felt "injured" by my questions. I find it extremely unacceptable that an animal is denied care for personal rather than medical reasons, and that a pet owner, who is simply seeking information and peace of mind, is treated this way. Zero empathy, poor communication, and a way of working that, in my opinion, is unacceptable when dealing with sentient beings. I do not recommend this clinic. UPDATE after the center's response: I am responding to their reply because it contains statements that do not reflect what happened. The surgery was not rescheduled; it was unilaterally canceled by the center without prior notice or alternative, and this was indicated on their own calendar when I called. At no point was I informed of the surgeon's alleged absence or of a future rescheduling. I also did not request the cancellation of the procedure nor express any distrust toward the team, something that is not reflected in any of my emails, which are easily verifiable. My subsequent contacts after the consultation were limited to requesting information about the anesthetic protocol and adding additional tests, which is reasonable given that it was surgery on an epileptic dog. The most worrying thing is that a veterinarian from the clinic itself told me by phone that the cancellation might have been due to the surgeon feeling upset, something I consider completely inappropriate for a healthcare professional. The decision to cancel was neither medically sound nor agreed upon, and it left me with a medicated animal, a scheduled surgery, and no solution offered. I stand by my review in its entirety because it accurately reflects my experience, which has caused me great and unnecessary distress, especially considering it involves a sentient being.
