The hotel is well located next to the port of Cartagena, the parking is elevator-style, which complicates things a bit, but there are options nearby. It's a quiet and well-placed hotel, you can walk from the hotel to central areas and the port, with plenty of leisure spots, and you can even go jogging by the port. The staff is always friendly, and the rooms are comfortable and generally quiet.

The Hotel Puerto Cartagena offers a curious experience right from the start: access to the parking is through an elevator. Yes, you drive in and it descends like a VIP to the underground. Without a doubt, this is something you don't see every day and it adds an original touch to your arrival. The common areas are decent and well-maintained, although you can notice a bit of wear in the rooms. We stayed in the junior suite, which compensates with a huge terrace and a view of the port that makes you forget other less modern details. The breakfast has quite a variety, but what about the croissants? I missed them! A small improvement in this aspect would make it perfect. In summary, it's a recommendable hotel.

Very nice, well appointed hotel in a great location and really nice staff. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Parking is close by if not available at the hotel. Location is second to none in the old part of the city close to the Roman ruins.

We had a fantastic weekend. The hotel is centrally located, the location is perfect, the room is well-equipped, the breakfast is very complete, and the staff in the café and reception were exceptional, with a special mention for David. We have never been treated so well in any of the hotels we have stayed at, a unique service.

Check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 3:10 PM and were told (after confirming with housekeeping) that the room was ready. When we went up at 3:15 PM, they were still inside mopping the floor, so we waited until 3:20 PM for it to dry... which, with everything closed, did not happen.... I believe that the check-in time is very important in a 4-star hotel, and the bathtub was a bit dirty.... Additionally, they asked us for our preference, and we said we wanted a double bed, to which they nodded, but upon entering we saw that there were two single beds.

The hotel is very well located, the room was large but quite neglected. There was no balcony, and the window overlooked a square. We had booked breakfast, which was a varied buffet, but the service was rather unpleasant and there were some gluten-free options. The gluten-free bread was terrible; it was brought to me broken and hard.

Really wonderful hotel with fantastic balconies and very cosy rooms. The waitress even brought my mum a dessert with a candle in at breakfast on the morning of her birthday without us asking. Location and view is excellent.

Fantastic location. The hotel sits on the edge of the historic Old Town. We have spent 7 weeks travelling through Spain and in my opinion this hotel has some of the best staff we have met. Reception staff were exceptional from arrival to departure. Breakfast staff were pleasant and welcoming. The hotel also as a car park whchs is a nice bonus.
