A nice spot in a central area of the city with a good daily menu. We went on a Saturday when they had caldero, and it was really tasty; the first dish, consomé with meatballs, had an incredible flavor. But without a doubt, the best part of this place is the staff: friendly, smiling, and with a way of being that makes you want to return just for them. The menu includes coffee and dessert. It was definitely a pleasant surprise, both for the atmosphere and the place itself, which has a retro yet elegant touch.

If you're looking to eat well in a good and affordable place in Cartagena, I recommend Cafetería Oliver, a tea salon located at c/Jiménez de la Espada 28. The bar is run by a very active man, and Eduardo takes care of the salon, providing impeccable service. We ordered from the menu; the first courses were delicious, and the rice, despite looking a bit overcooked, was just right and full of flavor. For those of us coming from rice-growing regions like the Valencian Community, ordering rice or paella outside of our homeland is always a risk, but in this case, it was very good. The homemade dessert, whether natillas or flan, was also excellent. The bar almost resembles those from 'Cuéntame', old-fashioned with somewhat outdated decor but featuring a beautiful custom-made wooden bar, like they used to make. It's clean and spacious, and if the weather is nice, you know you can also enjoy a lovely terrace.

It's a place where I immediately feel like I'm at my aunt's house or a lifelong grandmother's. There's a lot of nostalgia here, good manners, and spectacular service. My partner and I had a daily menu for €13, and it was more than we expected. The most delicious in the world? No. Would we repeat it? Yes. Everything was delicious, served quickly, and well presented, with a family-like yet formal atmosphere as if we were in a 5-star restaurant. They are true professionals, and we will return every time we can. THE FOOD: First course: Ensaladilla de surimi de cangrejo and Ensalada de escalivada. Second: Bacalao a la murciana and Chuleta a la riojana. Dessert: Flan and caramel cake. Bread, drink, and coffee included! 🌟

This restaurant, with its old-fashioned decor and staff, personally gave me a sense of tranquility. The moment you step in, you feel like you're going to have a good meal, and… indeed, that was the case. The daily menu is €12, with a reasonable quantity and quality for the price. I don't give 5 stars because the card reader was broken and they didn't inform me before I sat down to eat; they only did so after we finished. I believe such information should be provided beforehand, but aside from that, it was spectacular.

Waiter very helpful and friendly and that's where it stopped. Yesterdays bread today. Ordered a club sandwich. The toast was so burned I couldn't pick it up and it fell apart in my hands. Ended up picking out the meat and salad. Went here because of good review and ended up leaving and going to another cafe for food as was inedible
