The ladies who call to schedule appointments, in this case the one who called my girlfriend for the endocrinologist, are completely incompetent. They called her to set an appointment for the 2nd, and when she mentioned that she couldn't make it that day, they asked what she had scheduled. She shouldn't have to explain herself, yet the response was annoyingly, 'Well, this is important; it's the doctor's order.' It's just a routine endocrinology check-up for my girlfriend. She replied that her other appointment is also important, and the caller snapped back, 'Fine, I'll let the doctor know.' You're just a messenger for scheduling appointments, and people have lives. If someone can't make it, just discuss rescheduling with the doctor instead of prying into why they can't and being rude.

I had a breathing problem so went to hospital sure that I would spend time there, so had a shower and put on clean clothes. The hospital is full of hard working and dedicated people so deserves a top rating, except for 3 young women and a female doctor there. On entry I was taken past a wide open door where inside, a woman patient (late 30's) was nude from the waist up, and I saw her breasts. A little further and I went into a room where 3 young women demanded that I take off all my clothes. I refused, and a second and third demand, going to a nearby toilet to change into a hospital gown. Are they just porters abusing their position?
To explain, I have big broad feet and the only shoes that would fit me were cheap black rubber shoes, I have to cut a bit. They are comfortable but the rubber comes off on my feet, and of course, is waterproof so only a scrubbing brush will clean my feet. I only had a shower that morning. My toe nails are thick, so a nail clipper is useless and I do the best I can with them, so not perfect. The women called my feet dirty, though I explained my shoes to them.
On my final report, obviously based on those very nasty women and the doctor who had not examined me, said I had poor self care and hygiene, so she merely repeated nasty lies. An insult, so only 4 stars.

This is the worst emergency hospital, if not the worst emergency services in all of Cartagena. It's outrageous to go through triage and wait three hours, only to see people who arrived after you being called in before you, and then leaving half an hour later while you're still waiting. Is this what we pay taxes for? Does it really take hiring more staff or expanding emergency services to fix this? I truly understand now why more and more people are leaving Spain for reasons like this and others. Sometimes, it feels better to stay home and die than to wait for someone to attend to you... it's the worst of all, with endless lines. People come in after you and leave before you... I don't know who gets paid here because you find them all in the hallway, either smoking or just sitting around staring into space (that goes for the doctors, nurses, and others). And, as always, those who are already known get attended to first. In short, this will continue as it is; posting this here won't change anything, but it's madness, and the worst part is that nothing is being done. I have no idea where our taxes go; I bet they end up in the pockets of the mayors and their cronies.

Unfortunately, I found myself in an urgent situation: abdominal pain due to acute appendicitis. During the triage, I was questioned about why I was returning for consultation, as I had already been to Rosell before. I had to plead for them to confirm what was happening to me with an ultrasound, even though I knew that the diagnosis of appendicitis is primarily clinical. I arrived at 5:30 am and had to wait until 11 am for them to perform the ultrasound. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism for those who manage this reference hospital. It seems unbelievable that there isn't an available ultrasound technician or imaging specialist 24/7. This hampers medical work and prevents timely diagnoses. It's worth noting that the service and the surgical department are outstanding, rated 10/10. They show kindness, respect, commitment, and responsibility towards patients. My sincerest thanks to all of them; they do impeccable work.

I delivered my baby there, and I will thank God all my life for meeting Emilio Bastida, Lucia Sixto, and Yanira Navarrete Martin 🙏. They are highly knowledgeable, professional, and extremely kind. With them, you can also give birth at home, in a very professional and natural way. They are truly angels on Earth.

The layout of the specialties and the hospital overall is excellent. I did notice that the emergency service was overwhelmed, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but overall, the specialties were quite good: timely and friendly staff.

Juan Francisco Fernandez Tabernero It's getting worse every time; the treatment in the emergency room is becoming less and less humane. I understand that there are many of us, but when you're feeling unwell, you shouldn't have to wait five hours in a chair in a room full of people talking non-stop and without any volume control. If I go to the hospital referred by my health center, it's not because I want to spend a different afternoon, but because I want them to prescribe or give me something that will help me so I can leave.

My husband had the best care,we were in A&E all day,and in and out getting test after test. We hardly waited in between each test, saw at least 3 different Doctors. We even were escorted from one end of the hospital to the other by a lovely young lady who spoke perfect English. We can't fault them. They're all amazing.

Great care whilst your in need of it but I found that once your out of surgery the level of care drops dramatically unfortunately.
Very clean hospital however staff seem to be very few and far between.
